About the role

Black & White Engineering (B&W) is a leading MEP design consultancy. Launched in the UAE in 2007, we became an independent company in 2014 and are now a true global consultancy with offices in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia.

Due to our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Engineer, ideally with data centre experience, to work as part of a team on technically challenging projects.

This role will be responsible for contributing to projects to deliver excellent service levels to clients and assisting on the ongoing development and growth of the business, whilst providing sound technical, design, support.

We’re looking for an experienced engineering professional to provide sound technical and design support on Mechanical Building Services Engineering disciplines, to ensure project requirements and clients’ specifications are fully met.

Responsibilities
  • Contributing to the team to ensure successful preparation and delivery of project objectives, including providing technical support
  • Working with other engineers and project teams to ensure quality and timely operation delivery for clients
  • Compiling specifications, drawings, and relevant contract documents, maintaining the required technical quality of work, ensuring that designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures
  • The contribution of elements and components of projects from concept design through to completion, executing Building Services Engineering activities within the budget and schedule, whilst maintaining technical integrity
  • Providing Mechanical Building Services Engineering design to buildings and infrastructure
Qualifications
  • A relevant degree in Mechanical Building Services Engineering, or equivalent qualification or sufficient suitable experience
  • The ability to demonstrate extensive experience in a wide range of technical areas
  • Sound level of knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering codes, standards, and regulations
  • Desirable experience in data centre projects
  • An appreciation of complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering, and computer modelling in the design of buildings
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Computer literacy which includes Autocad, REVIT, Navisworks, IES, Hevacomp, CFD software, and Microsoft Office
  • Current UK driving license
