TEAM LEAD – MECHANICAL

Black & White Engineering (B&W) is a leading MEP design consultancy. Launched in the UAE in 2007, we became an independent company in 2014 and are now a true global consultancy with offices in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia.

Due to our continued growth into the data centre sector, we are looking to recruit a Team Lead – Mechanical, ideally with data centre experience, to lead a multi-disciplinary team on technically challenging projects.

This role will be responsible for managing projects to deliver an excellent service to clients and assisting in the ongoing development and growth of the business as a whole, whilst providing sound technical, design, and contract management support.

We’re looking for an experienced professional to provide sound technical, design, and contract management support on Mechanical Building Services Engineering disciplines, to ensure project requirements and clients’ specifications are fully met.

• Monitoring budgets and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets for own areas
• Setting and meeting agreed deadlines
• Allocates tasks and coordinates activities
• Represents the group/office/ discipline/profession internally and externally
• Authors official documents, e.g. letters and reports for internal or external use
• May, in addition, be responsible for one or more of the following:
  • Manages projects, work area, or technical skill set
  • Responsible for predicting and planning future resources, which may include setting up new projects and project plans
  • Responsible for the design and delivery of events, activities, processes, and/or projects which have a major impact on the management of the business
  • Responsible for the performance and development of others, providing guidance, training, and motivational and directional feedback

• Registered Engineer with minimum 10 years of experience in designing commercial, healthcare, and technology & data centre projects
• Experience working in local projects is an advantage
• Works mainly without supervision; refers upwards as necessary
• Focusing on all aspects of projects within the country, including significant client-facing roles; you will be an integral part of the overall Manila team and will also be called on to work on any projects domestically and globally as required to meet our business needs
• Significant experience in Philippine project planning and delivery requirements including site due diligence, contract, and processes relevant to all statutory and utility services, with a sound high0level understanding of project permits and approval requirements
